Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The Allahabad Court on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail application filed by Aparna Purohit, head of the India Original, Amazon Prime Video on connection with an FIR that alleged that the makers of the web series Tandav streaming on Amazon Prime Video hurt the religious sentiments of a particular community. The anticipatory bail plea by Purohit was filed in connection with a case lodged in Greater Noida against her and six others under IPC provisions relating to promoting enmity between different groups and intending to outrage religious feelings among others. Actress Sanjana Sanghi finally is finding her footing in the industry. After much delay, her film Dil Bechara premiered on OTT which starred late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She has already begun shooting her next OM - The Battle Withi n and has signed her third lead role already! Sanjana Sanghi has been reportedly signed for the prequel of horror-comedy Stree which will be titled Munjha. According to a tabloid, producer Dinesh Vijan began to build a horror-comedy universe starting with 2017 Stree starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao followed by 2011's Roohi with Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma, and 2022's Bhediya with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. For his next film, filmmaker Sudhir Mishra plans on revisiting the history of India. The filmmaker is currently developing a period drama that traces the rise of the British Raj in India during the 19th century. Reportedly, the story is set in 1840. The filmmaker feels that it is time to tell our own stories so that the next generation knows the stories of our freedom. The show will take a hard look at what the British did to India and how they established their rule over the country. Talking to a tabloid, Mishra said that he has written the first season. He said that considering the nature of the subject, the series has to be mounted on a massive scale and it will take them time to roll the project. The web series has been envisioned by Mishra and backed by Applause Entertainment as a three season offering.
