Earlier this month, singer Lata Mangeshkar was hospitalised in Mumbai's Breach Candy after she tested positive for COVID-19. The legendary singer has been in the ICU ever since and according to the regular health updates from her team, she seems to be getting better by the day. According to the latest update, the 92-year-old singer has been showing signs of marginal improvement and has been removed from the ventilator. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested an alleged drug peddler in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's death on Friday. The accused was a neighbour of the late actor and was reportedly absconding. According to NCB officials, 31-year-old Sahil Shah aka Flacko was held after he returned to the city from Dubai. Reportedly, Sahil's name had come up during an investigation of an accused in a drug case related to the death of Sushant. Sahil will be questioned by the officials in a marijuana seizure case of last year as well as Sushant's death in 2020. As per reports, Sahil had been on the run for nine months after his name was revealed by the NCB in connection with their investigation into the drugs case. In June 2021, Sahil had filed a plea to protect himself from arrest in the case after it was reported that he was the prime suspect in the agency's drug probe related to Sushant's demise. One now hears that an intimacy director would be very much a part of the crew on-board for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s  Heeramandi . A well-placed source confirms, “There are quite a few intimate scenes in Heeramandi . In September 2021,  Bollywood Hungama  was the first one to report that the John Abraham-starrer  Attack  will release around Republic Day 2022. Sadly, due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, the country was swept by the third wave of Covid-19. As a result, all the films scheduled for release in December-end and January 2022 were indefinitely postponed. Filmmaker Suneel Darshan, who is known for films such as Inteqam and Andaaz , has filed an FIR against the search engine giant Google, its CEO Sundar Pichai and several other employees of the corporation, alleging an infringement of the copyright of his 2017 directorial Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha on YouTube. According to several reports, the director has claimed that though he had not uploaded the movie anywhere, nor sold it to anyone, several channels on YouTube are profiteering off it and Google has refused to take the movie off those channels. His FIR, filed with the MIDC Police Station at Andheri East, alleges infringement of Sections 51, 63 and 69 of the Copyright Act of 1957. Sharing the information, Darshan told a print publication that his faith and belief in the advancement of technology are implicit, but the infringement of his rights is a cause of grave concern. American actor Jake Gyllenhaal has been attached to star in and produce the heist thriller from Brian Oliver and Bradley Fischer’s New Republic, Cut & Run . According to The Hollywood Reporter, the logline for the project reads, “A group of thieves using high-powered speedboats to rob superyachts steal the wrong thing from the wrong group of people.” Cut & Run is the latest partnership for Gyllenhaal and New Republic, having worked together on the upcoming Universal title Ambulance , directed by Michael Bay. New Republic and Nine Stories are also teaming up on an adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s graphic novel “ Oblivion Song ”. Disney has issued a response over its upcoming live-action Snow White remake following criticisms made by Peter Dinklage. The Game of Thrones star blasted the Disney remake during an interview on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, calling out the fairytale’s “f**king backwards” depictions of dwarfs. A spokesperson for Disney said in a statement to Variety, “To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community. Percy Jackson and the Olympians series has officially been picked up at Disney+. The series adaptation of the Rick Riordan book series was first reported as being in the works at the streamer back in May 2020. The casting is currently underway.
