Marvel’s Armor Wars, which was originally developed as a Disney+ series, is now being retooled and moved forward as a feature. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the move essentially pushes back the title further down the development slate. Sources say the studio was committed in getting the story told the right way and, in that process, realized that a feature was better suited for the project. Like all Marvel movies, it is intended for a theatrical release. The project, first announced back in 2020, will see Don Cheadle reprise his MCU role of Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine. Marvel had previously aimed to begin production in 2023, though the team was reportedly notified on Thursday of the project’s shift in direction. These collections are across all languages with a little over Rs. 20 crores coming from the south versions, predominantly Telugu. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will celebrate his 80 th birthday on October 11. Known for his mega movie star status and brilliant performances in films spanning decades, there will be a grand celebration in his honour. To mark his 80 th birthday, a film festival will be organised in October. The Film Heritage Foundation is organising a 4-day film festival starting from October 8 to October 11 to celebrate Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday. 11 iconic movies from his filmography will be screened at 22 screens in PVR Cinemas across 17 cities in India. The advance booking of Vikram Vedha opened last weekend and it is showing a decent trend at the ticket windows so far. As of Thursday early morning, the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan film has sold approximately 30,000 tickets in the three national chains - PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. By Thursday noon, the film will easily zoom past the overall advance booking of films like Raksha Bandhan, Samrat Prithviraj, and Shamshera in the three chains. The advance in non-national chains is also decent so far, but we anticipate a good walk in the audience to step out on Friday given that Hrithik Roshan is a big star and the combo with Saif Ali Khan makes this film even more exciting. A court in Bihar issued arrest warrants against producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor on the charges of insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their family members in her ALT Balaji web series XXX season 2. A complaint was filed by a resident and ex-servicemen from Begusarai, Shambhu Kumar. The court of judge Vikas Kumar issued the arrest warrants. "The series was aired on ALTBalaji, an OTT platform owned by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Ltd. Shobha Kapoor is also associated with Balaji Telefilms," said Hrishikesh Pathak, the advocate of Shambhu Kumar, as reported by NDTV. He added, "The court had issued summons to them (Kapoors) and asked them to appear before it in connection with the matter. They (Kapoors), however, informed the court that certain scenes in the series were removed after the objection. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was rushed to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Monday night, September 26. The actress reportedly complained of uneasiness. The actress is currently recuperating after numerous tests were done which took half a day. The report in Pinkvilla suggested that it was a taxing situation due to which she was taken to the hospital. “The actress faced quite a taxing situation and was immediately hospitalized. Theatres had taken a good decision to reduce the ticket prices all over to just Rs. 100 and that allowed much more than regular footfalls. The trend was set to be upwards on Sunday after Saturday dip (when compared to Friday being the National Cinema Day). For this big budgeted film, a number like this is truly heartening as it shows that at least for well-made event films, there are audiences waiting to throng theatres.
