Badass Ravi Kumar embarrasses Loveyappa in advance bookings - Himesh Reshammiya leaves Junaid Khan behind, selling 20x more tickets in pre-sales!

The Himesh Reshammiya-led Badass Ravi Kumar has taken decent start in the advance bookings at all India level. As on the data set received on Wednesday morning at 9 AM, Badass Ravikumar has sold around 3,200 tickets across the Top 3 national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis - for the opening day alone.

The advances for Badass Ravi Kumar opened on Tuesday evening and the film has managed to organically sell over 3000 tickets in less than 12 hours. The advance is a result of the solid interest generated by the trailer, as the viewers seem to be stepping in for unabashed entertainment. If the momentum in advance booking continues, Badass Ravi Kumar could sell around 40,000 tickets in the national chains alone, and open around the Rs. 5 crore mark, which will be a phenomenal result for the Himesh Reshammiya film.

The second release of the week, Loveyapa is struggling in pre-sales at the box office in India. The film has sold 150 tickets across the top 3 national chains – PVR, Inox and Cinepolis - which is around 5 percent of Badass Ravikumar. The gap could widen further as the spoof factor seems to be working in a big way for Ravikumar, and the remake factor is working against Loveyapa.

These are still early days, but one can conclude with ease that Badass Ravi Kumar is the winner of this box office clash already.

Mumbai Court restricts Kamaal R Khan from posting any defamatory content against Salman Khan

Mumbai Court on June 23 issued an order to Kamal R Khan restraining him from posting any defamatory content against Bollywood actor Salman Khan. According to the court, the image of any individual is “purest treasure and the most precious perfume of life”. The court passed the order after Salman Khan filed defamation suit against KRK. Kamaal R Khan also accused Being Human, a registered Salman Khan's venture of being involved in fraud, manipulation and money laundering. Salman and his team filed a suit in the court following a series of defamatory videos and offensive tweets by KRK on his social media handles. The court found that Kamaal R Khan exceeded his boundary of freedom of speech and his remarks needed immediate strict action.
