Meera Chopra to star in Super Woman, a film on asexuality
Meera Chopra is renowned for her bold choices of roles on screen. Her upcoming film Super Woman is India's first film on asexuality. The first look of another film featuring Meera, titled Safed , was recently unveiled in the latest edition of the famous Cannes Film Festival. On Super Woman , Meera Chopra said, "I was so intrigued by the script. The term 'asexual' is alien to Indians. So many women and men struggle to make their peers understand how they feel about it. While researching for the film, I came across jaw-dropping statistics on the number of suicides and forced marriages of asexual women. It is alarming!
