The Diplomat Box Office: John Abraham starrer is stable on Monday

The Diplomat is now steady at lower levels as collections managed to stay at Rs. 1.51 crores on Tuesday. Monday collections were Rs. 1.53 crores and there is practically no drop. It’s on expected lines as well since on Monday a substantial drop was seen when compared to Friday (even if one accounts for the fact that it was Holi holiday), and hence now collections are stabilising. The film would now be aiming for collections to continue to stay on top of Rs. 1.25 crore mark till tomorrow as well and the indications are that it would indeed happen. Post that on second Friday too if the film can stay over Rs. 1 crore mark then it would be even better as that would promise some kind of a run for two weeks for the film. There are a few films that do arrive this Friday, but The Diplomat should manage screens for itself and then over the weekend it should show better day in day growth than the first weekend where it was rather flat. The John Abraham starrer has now reached Rs. 16.49 crores ...

The Heart of the Controversy: 'Bandit Queen' Edited Beyond Recognition Kapur’s grievances center on the OTT version of Bandit Queen, a biographical drama based on the life of Phoolan Devi, which he claims has been altered without his consent. In a tweet, he reminisced about the months spent perfecting the film alongside editor Renu Saluja. "The anguish a director and editor go through when editing their films... And then some random ...

The Diplomat Box Office: John Abraham starrer drops on Monday

After collecting in the upwards of Rs. 4 crores from Friday to Sunday, The Diplomat faced a drop on Monday as Rs. 1.53 crore came in. The film had actually opened to fair numbers on Friday and then when it sustained quite well on Saturday, there were expectations that further growth would come in on Sunday. After all, Friday was Holi so the numbers that came in were better than what they would have been on a regular Friday. However, Sunday was flat and that somewhat indicated the way collections would turn out to be on Monday. Still, considering the good word of mouth amongst those who had watched the film, there was an expectation of Rs. 3 crores+ number. It was more of a wishful thinking though because this would have been possible only if Sunday had gone past Rs. 5.50 crores mark at least. With that not happening, Rs. 2-2.50 crores Monday seemed more like a possibility but then the actual collections are actually lesser than that. The John Abraham starrer will now be hoping to sta...
