RRR Box Office Worldwide: SS Rajamouli film goes on a rampage globally; collects Rs. 485 crores to emerge the No. 1 film worldwide over the weekend

RRR is in the league of its own as the film is continuing to demolish the box office with its spectacular run. The much spoken about SS Rajamouli film has collected approx. Rs. 140 crores gross on Sunday to take the opening weekend total to approximately Rs. 485 crores.

The movie has a shot of even going close to the Rs. 500 crore mark at the global box office and it would all depend on where the final figures land in the overseas belt. The movie has collected approximately Rs. 190 crore gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone, with nearly Rs. 120 crores coming from the overseas belt. Hindi circuits contributed Rs. 88 crores, with Tamil Nadu clocking Rs. 32 crores plus over the weekend.

Karnataka and rest of India collected another Rs. 40 crore, whereas Kerala has raked in Rs. 12 crores plus. The film has recorded the second biggest opening weekend of all time for Indian cinema after Baahubali 2 and coincidentally, both are helmed by SS Rajamouli. In the weekend, RRR was the number 1 film of the globe, defeating several international titles too.

The movie will be looking to continue with its run and get closer to the global gross of Rs. 1000 crore by the end of its run, to emerge the third Indian film to attain this feat after Dangal and Baahubali 2. Interestingly, RRR might become the only film to do it without a release in China, if it eventually manages to touch the magical four digit number.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
