RRR Worldwide Box Office: Film beats The Batman to occupy the no. 1 spot globally; collects nearly Rs. 480 cr. in opening weekend

The SS Rajamouli directed film RRR released last week on Friday. Starring, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn the film has been raking in the moolah at the domestic and international box office alike. In fact, RRR which has been one of the most talked about and keenly anticipated releases of recent times, opened with a bang with positive reviews from the critics and audience. If that wasn’t enough, the film also features one of the widest releases in both markets post the pandemic.

Now, after a stellar opening weekend, RRR has emerged as a leader at the worldwide box office, even managing to surpass the business of the Hollywood release The Batman. Released across 21 territories, RRR has managed to collect a staggering USD 9,500,000 [Rs. 72.13 cr.] from the domestic box office, and a further USD 53,709,000 [Rs. 407.79 cr.] from the overseas markets for a total worldwide collection of USD 63,209,000 [Rs. 479.92 cr.]. With this RRR has managed to top the charts this weekend surpassing the business of the Hollywood action flick The Batman that managed to collect USD 4,500,000 [Rs. 345.46 cr.] at the worldwide box office from 77 territories.

Going ahead, trade predictions for the business of RRR are highly optimistic stating that the collections of the film will see further growth as the week progresses. In fact, estimates state that give the current momentum, RRR could easily go one to become one of the biggest money spinners of the year.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
