SS Rajamouli’s RRR (Hindi) Box Office Estimate Day 5: Collects Rs. 13.50 crores; continues to rise and roar

SS Rajamouli's much awaited period drama, RRR is continuing with its steady run as the film has collected approximately Rs. 13.25 to 14.00 crores on Wednesday to take the 6 day total to Rs. 120 crores. The movie is looking at a first week collection of Rs. 130 crore plus.

With this, RRR will record the biggest first week collection in the pandemic times by surpassing the Rohit Shetty cop drama, Sooryavanshi, which is led by Akshay Kumar with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Katrina Kaif. Interestingly, RRR has attained this mark during a non holiday period as compared to the achievement of Sooryavanshi during the Diwali week.

RRR has been running on a riot mode in Gujarat, Bihar and Rajasthan, whereas Delhi and Mumbai are running steady to enable the film to put up a good total on every day. Ever since its release, the film has been collecting double digits, and this feat will continue until the second Sunday. By the end of its 10 day run, RRR total is expected to fall in the vicinity of Rs. 170 crore, and it will touch the Rs. 200 crore mark by end of the second week.

The trend so far has confirmed a clean hit status for RRR, as it needed a total of Rs. 180 crore from the Hindi versions to break even. Now it remains to be seen, if RRR emerges a super hit or blockbuster in the Hindi belts or not, as its sustenance from hereon that will play a role in its box office verdict.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
