The Kashmir Files Box Office: Film beats Sanju, Uri, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan; becomes 7th all-time highest 3rd Friday grosser

The Vivek Agnihotri directed film The Kashmir Files featuring Anupam Kher released a while back, and since then there has been no stopping the film at the box office. After a modest start the collections of the The Kashmir Files witnessed exponential growth with each passing day. In fact, in its second week running, the film saw a further Rs. 110.03 cr coming in taking its two week total collections across the Rs. 200 cr mark.

In this box office report, we take a look at the third Friday collections of The Kashmir Files while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 4.50 cr on its third Friday, The Kashmir Files manages to become the seventh all-time highest third Friday grosser. In fact, the film manages to surpass the business of certain previous releases like the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju that collected Rs. 4.42 cr, the Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri – The Surgical Strike that collected Rs. 4.40 cr and the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 4.11 cr. On the other hand though, the business of The Kashmir Files that has been impacted due to the new release RRR, does not surpass certain other releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 10.05 cr, Bajirao Mastani that collected Rs. 7.5 cr, PK that collected Rs. 6.85 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 6.66 cr, Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 5.40 cr, and Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 5.38 cr.

Currently, The Kashmir Files continues to run in theatres, but with RRR hitting screens the business of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial has begun to slow down. Though trade predictions remain optimistic it remains to be seen whether The Kashmir Files manages to hold its own at the box office.
