The Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files has been unstoppable at the box office since its release over two weeks ago. After a modest opening, the business of the film witnessed immense growth in collections fast becoming one of the highest grossing of 2022. Now in its third weekend running, the business of The Kashmir Files has managed to retain a hold on the audience despite the release of the mega budget blockbuster RRR.

Collecting Rs. 7.25 cr The Kashmir Files manages to surpass the collections of previous releases like the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 6.8 cr, the Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots that collected Rs. 6.53 cr and the Deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat that collected Rs. 6.30 cr, with this The Kashmir Files now ranks as the 8th all-time highest third Saturday grosser. Not surprisingly, the business of The Kashmir Files does not surpass the collections of certain other releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 14.75 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 10.8 cr, Uri - The Surgical Strike that collected Rs. 9.86 cr, Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 9.52 cr, PK that collected Rs. 8.32 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 7.75 cr, and Kabir Singh that had collected Rs. 7.51 cr.

Going further, it is estimated that The Kashmir Files will continue to run in theatres, but will face stiff competition from the new release RRR that hit screens this Friday. However, trade predictions remain optimistic claiming that The Kashmir Files could eventually see its business cross the Rs. 250 cr mark at the box office.

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars.
