The Kashmir Files Box Office: Film beats Bajrangi Bhaijaan; becomes 8th all-time highest third weekend grosser

The Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files has been doing roaring business at the box office since its release over two weeks ago. After a modest opening, the business of the film took off, with collections pouring in. In fact, The Kashmir Files stunned trade analysts and the audience alike with its box office performance. Now on its third weekend running, the film has managed to draw in a further Rs. 20.85 cr.

In this box office report, we take a look at the third weekend collections of The Kashmir Files while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 20.85 cr, The Kashmir Files surpasses the collections of the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 19.98 cr to become the 8th all-time highest third weekend grosser. If that wasn’t all, the business of the film has also surpassed the collections of the film Bajirao Mastani that had collected Rs. 20.50 cr.

However, the third weekend business of The Kashmir Files does not manage to compete with certain other previous releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 42.55 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 31.79 cr, Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 27.48 cr, PK that collected Rs. 26.75 cr, Uri - The Surgical Strike that collected Rs. 23.54 cr, Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 22.52 cr, and Sanju that had collected Rs. 21.46 cr.

As of now, The Kashmir Files continues to run in theatres, however with the SS Rajamouli directorial RRR also in cinemas, the business of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial will see a gradual decrease in collections. Going by the current business trend predictions state that The Kashmir Files that has collected Rs. 228.18 cr till date will eventually cross the Rs. 250 cr mark by the end of its fourth week.

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
