Box Office: Tiger Shroff starrer Heropanti 2 takes a fair opening, KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) crosses Rs. 350 crores

6 weeks after the release of Bachchhan Paandey, finally a Bollywood film has taken some sort of a opening. Otherwise by and large it has been a sad scene with Bollywood films just not enticing audiences enough. In fact at the single screens especially it has only been south films doing well so from that perspective, at least Heropanti 2 has penetrated into the mass belts to some degree. Incidentally, both Bachchhan Paandey and Heropanti 2 are Sajid Nadiadwala productions and at least on the opening day these enticed the gentry.

Of course, a bigger number would have helped the cause as Rs. 8-10 crores would have been an ideal start for the Tiger Shroff starrer. Still, the fact that it got Rs. 7 crores* on the opening day has given it come sort of a platform from where it can at least grow. This is what would decide how the five day extended Eid weekend look like.

Meanwhile, Runway 34 struggled to get any sort of opening as merely Rs. 3.50 crores* came in. Frankly, more was expected as at the very minimum Rs. 6 crores seemed to be on the cards on the first day of the Ajay Devgn acted and directed film.

As for KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi), it has been doing quite well in the third week as well with Friday collections turning out to be Rs. 4.25 crores. In the process, the film has gone past the Rs. 350 crores mark and currently stands at Rs. 353.06 crores. By the time the current week comes to a close, it would have comfortably gone past the Rs. 375 crores mark.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
