Sher Shivraj Box Office: Film collects Rs. 3.25 cr. in Week 1

The Marathi historical film Sher Shivraj directed by Digpal Lanjekar released a week ago. Being a regional language release, the film saw a limited release within the state of Maharashtra. However, the film has managed to do a decent business. Featuring Chinmay Mandlekar and Mrinal Kulkarni, the film which is based on incidents from the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has still held its own drawing in over Rs. 3 cr. in its first week.

Sher Shivraj Box Office Film collects Rs. 3.25 cr. in Week 1

Drawing in Rs. 55.74 lakhs from PVR properties, Rs. 62.53 lakhs from Inox, Rs. 39.45 lakhs from Cinepolis, Rs. 35.96 lakhs from Carnival and Rs. 64.87 lakhs from City Pride, the collections of the film have posted a rather decent total.

Given the total collection of Rs. 3.25 cr. in its first week alone, Sher Shivraj which is the fourth release in the Mratha history universe looks set to enjoy another good weekend. Though the big releases will eventually steal the spotlight, the smaller Marathi venture is expected to hold steady with collections reflecting the audience acceptance.
