Dhaakad Box Office: Kangana Ranaut starrer underperforms in overseas market in Week 1

The Kangana Ranaut starrer Dhaakad which released a week ago has been facing a hard time at the box office. Despite being an action entertainer that featured immense promotion in the run up to its release the film has not found takers. In fact, Dhaakad failed to connect with the audience due to which the business of the film remained low.

In the overseas markets as well, Dhaakad has found the going hard, with its collections reflecting this fact. In the overseas market of U.S.A, the Kangana Ranaut film managed to draw in just USD 40,238 [Rs. 31.26 lakhs] in its first week running. Not surprisingly, the business of the film faced a similar fate in other overseas markets as well. Similar to the U.S.A box office, the Canada box office saw USD 13,191 [Rs. 10.24 lakhs] coming in, while in the U.K-Ireland market, Dhaakad drew in USD 11,558 [Rs. 8.97 lakhs]. If that was not enough, in the overseas markets of Australia and New Zealand, Dhaakad has collected USD 6,691 [Rs. 5.19 lakhs] and USD 1,872 [Rs. 1.45 lakhs] respectively.

Going forward, Dhaakad, which has been a disaster at the box office in both the domestic and international markets, the film has all but vanished from theatres with a few locations still playing the film.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
