Jugjugg Jeeyo Box Office: Film collects Rs. 9.28 cr on Day 1; ranks as seventh highest opening day grosser of 2022

The much talked about and immensely promoted Raj Mehta directorial Jugjugg Jeeyo finally hit screens todau. Starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Singh the film was expected to open on a good note, with audience appreciating the release. Living up to expectations, the Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 venture has started off well. After seeing a decent spate of advance booking, Jugjugg Jeeyo which has received positive reviews has started well.

Collecting Rs. 9.28 cr Jugjugg Jeeyo has emerged as the seventh highest opening day grosser of 2022. In fact, the business of the film which released across 3375+ screens in the domestic market has surpassed the opening day collections of previous releases like Heropanti 2 which collected Rs. 6.50 cr, Radhe Shyam which collected Rs. 4.44 cr, and The Kashmir Files which had collected Rs. 3.55 cr. However, despite the immense promotions the business of the film does not manage to surpass certain other releases like KGF - Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 53.95 cr, RRR which collected Rs. 20.07 cr, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which collected Rs. 14.11 cr, Bachchhan Paandey which collected Rs. 13.2 cr, Samrat Prithviraj which collected Rs. 10.70 cr, and Gangubai Kathiawadi which had collected Rs. 10.50 cr.

Going forward, Jugjugg Jeeyo which enjoys incredible word of mouth is expected to see its collections growth further over the weekend. In fact, trade estimates state that the business of the film will certainly see a massive increase in footfalls as collections over its opening weekend.

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
