Jugjugg Jeeyo Box Office: Film collects Rs. 36.93 cr on Weekend 1; ranks as sixth highest opening weekend grosser of 2022

The Raj Mehta directorial Jugjugg Jeeyo was released last week on Friday. Starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor the film has been one of the most talked-about recent releases. Immensely promoted the film saw a release across 3375+ screens in the domestic market and was expected to open on a high note. Living up to expectations the film, which saw a good rate of advance bookings opened well, and even saw a good jump in business on its second day running.

In this box office report, we look at the opening weekend collections of Jugjugg Jeeyo while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 36.93 cr Jugjugg Jeeyo ranks as the sixth-highest opening weekend grosser of 2022. In fact, the business of the film has managed to surpass the collections of previous releases like Bachchhan Paandey which collected Rs. 36.17 cr, The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 27.15 cr, Heropanti 2 which collected Rs. 16 cr, and Radhe Shyam which had collected Rs. 13.94 cr. However, despite the promotions, the business of Jugjugg Jeeyo does not manage to surpass certain other releases like KGF - Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 193.99 cr, RRR which collected Rs. 75.57 cr, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which collected Rs. 55.96 cr, Samrat Prithviraj which collected Rs. 39.40 cr, and Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 39.12 cr.

As of now, Jugjugg Jeeyo continues to run in theatres, and with little to no competition, the business of the film is expected to see further growth. However, so far the collections of the film have been rather unexpectedly low, but despite this, trade predicts that Jugjugg Jeeyo will see an increase in the coming days.

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars.
