Pathaan Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer surpasses KGF 2 & Baahubali; emerges as the fastest Rs. 200 cr grosser

The Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer Pathaan was released earlier this week on January 25. Since then the Siddharth Anand directorial has been on a roll at the box office with audience thronging theatres. In fact, demand from the audience has been so high that theatres have even begun midnight screens in various locations. Thanks to this and the 5500 wide screen count Pathaan has been on a record breaking spree. In this box office report, we look at the collections of Pathaan at the close on its fourth day running while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting a staggering Rs. 220 cr in just four days of its release, Pathaan has become the fastest Bollywood release to cross the Rs. 200 cr mark. In fact, the film has managed to surpass previous releases like KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 219.56 cr in five days of its release, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs. 224.25 cr in 6 days of its release. If that was not enough, the four day business has also surpassed previous releases like Sanju which collected Rs. 202.51 cr in 7 days, Tiger Zinda Hai which collected Rs. 106.04 cr in 7 days, and even War which collected Rs. 216.65 cr in 7 days. Currently, Pathaan continues to run to packed theatres across the board. Given the five day extended weekend the wide release pattern and the highly positive response from the audience and critics trade estimates that the business of the film will continue to see growth. As of now, Pathaan is expected to cross the Rs. 250 cr mark by the end of its fifth day running. Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
