Pathaan Box Office: With Pathaan Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Raj Films dominate list of Biggest Single Day grossers

The Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham was released last week to a thunderous response from the audience. After opening with a bang, the Yash Raj Films production that saw a release across 5500 screens in the domestic market has seen its business grow with each passing day. In fact, the audience demand for the film has been so high that exhibitors have added shows and even commenced screenings at midnight. At the box office too, Pathaan has been on a record smashing spree, and one such record is the highest single day grosser. Not surprisingly, Pathaan that has received positive reviews from critics and immense appreciation from the audience has recorded the highest single day collections with Rs. 70.50 cr coming in on its second day running. If that was not enough, the film which has recorded Rs. 50+ cr on multiple days since its release also holds the second, third and sixth spot on the list of Top 10 Biggest Single day grossers. Interestingly, with Pathaan performing well, Yash Raj Films that bank rolled the project, now has six out of ten places on the said list, with War, and Thugs of Hindostan coming in at fifth and seventh place respectively. Not surprisingly, the film occupies the first three spots, with War coming in fourth. In fact, based on the current trend trade predictions state that Pathaan, which has raked in a Rs. 271 cr in Hindi alone is more than likely to reach the Rs. 350 cr mark by the end of its first week running.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
