Pathaan Day 2 Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer collects Rs. 68 cr on Day 2; emerges as all-time highest Republic Day grosser

The Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham was released on January 25 to a thunderous response from the audience. After garnering rave reviews the film, which saw a staggering Rs. 57 cr (Hindi Rs. 55 cr + Tamil & Telugu Rs. 2 cr) coming in on its opening day, saw further growth in footfalls and collections on its second day running. In fact, Pathaan, which enjoyed the Republic Day holiday, has lived up to predictions at the box office. In this box office report, we look at the collections of Pathaan on January 26, while comparing the same to previous Republic Day releases. Not surprisingly, Pathaan, which was released across 5,500 screens in the domestic market, has emerged as the all-time highest Republic Day grosser collecting Rs. 68 cr on its second day running. In fact, the business of Pathaan far overshadows previous releases like Padmaavat, which collected Rs. 32 cr, Raees which collected Rs. 26.3 cr, Jai Ho which collected Rs. 26.25 cr, Agneepath collected Rs. 23 and Race 2, which collected Rs. 20.7 cr amongst others. Currently, Pathaan continues its box office march proving to be unstoppable. In fact, with certain locations commencing midnight screenings of the film to accommodate audience demand, trade predictions state that the collections of Pathaan will see further growth. If that was not enough, with a five-day extended opening weekend, estimates state that Pathaan could even cross the Rs. 200 cr mark. Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
