Pathaan Day 5 Box Office: Film emerges as Shah Rukh Khan’s highest opening weekend grosser

The Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan starring none other than Shah Rukh Khan was released last week on January 25. Also starring Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham the film which was released across 5500 screens in the domestic market has been doing roaring business. In fact, after collecting a massive Rs. 57 cr on its opening day the business of Pathaan continued to see exponential growth over its opening weekend. In this box office report, we look at the opening weekend collections of Pathaan while comparing the same to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 271 cr, Pathaan has emerged as Shah Rukh Khan’s all-time highest opening weekend grosser. In fact, the five-day extended weekend business of Pathaan far overshadows the collections of his previous films like Happy New Year, which collected Rs. 108.86 cr, Chennai Express, which collected Rs. 100.42 cr, Raees, which collected Rs. 93.24 cr, and Ra.One, which had collected Rs. 92 cr amongst others. As of now, Pathaan continues its box office march unopposed with audience thronging theatres the makers of the film have even increased shows to meet the demand. Going by the current scenario, Pathaan is expected to cross the Rs. 300 cr and the Rs. 350 cr mark in the coming days.
