SatyaPrem Ki Katha Box Office: Film collects Rs. 9.25 cr on Day 1; emerges as sixth highest opening day grosser of 2023

The much talked about and heavily promoted Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha finally hit screens yesterday. Directed by Sameer Vidwans the film has been making headlines in the run upto its release, but has the hype surrounding the film translated into box office numbers is the question. Interestingly, Satyaprem Ki Katha has performed better than expected on its opening day manging to entice the audience.

In this box office report, we look at the opening day collections of Satyaprem Ki Katha while comparing the same to previous releases of 2023. Collecting Rs. 9.25 cr the film has emerged as the sixth highest opening day grosser of 2023. Though the business of the film does not surpass previous releases like Pathaan which collected Rs. 57 cr, Adipurush which collected Rs. 36 cr, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which collected Rs. 15.81 cr, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which collected Rs. 15.73 cr, and Bholaa which had collected Rs. 11.20 cr, it does over shadow other releases like The Kerala Story which collected Rs. 8.05 cr, Shehzada which collected Rs. 6 cr, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke whih collected Rs. 5.49 cr, and even Selfiee which collected Rs. 2.55 cr.

Currently, Satyaprem Ki Katha continues to enjoy a positive trend at the box office. In fact, early estimates state that the business of the film will see further growth over its opening weekend. If that was not enough, since Satyaprem Ki Katha enjoys the extended festive Eid weekend, trade predictions claim that the business of the film is more than likely to see immense growth in the days to come.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
