Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Box Office Estimate Day 1: Clocks Rs. 10.75 crores on Friday

The Karan Johar directed Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has opened below the trade expectations as estimates indicate an opening day in the range of Rs. 10.50 to 11.25 crores. The film has done some business in multiplexes, however, the mass belts did not fire, as over 65% of the total collections have come in from PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.

Given the budget, this start would have been considered dismal but the positive for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is the fact that the reviews are extremely positive. If this positive talk translates into the audience as well, then Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will see big gains over the weekend and make up for the loss of revenue on the opening day.

The sub-par opening is a result of not-so-good music and heavy rains in certain parts of the country, but the biggest plus rests in the power of content, and that will benefit the film in the long run. Post Pandemic, the success of films all depends on the trend in the long run, and with positive talk, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is all ready to have a big run at the box office.

The opening day business of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is boosted by some corporate bookings too and the real value of this Rs. 10.75 crore start would probably be in the Rs. 9.00 crore range. A Karan Johar directorial made on this scale should have easily opened around the Rs. 15 crore mark, but things look positive for the weekend business. All eyes are now on the jumps for the film in its opening weekend, as if those jumps come into play followed by a steady Monday, Karan and his team will have a winner in their hand.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
