Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Box Office Estimate Day 2: Has a BIG 45% jump on Saturday; collects Rs. 16 crores

The Karan Johar directed Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has seen a big gain in collections on Saturday as early estimates indicate the second day to fall in the range of Rs. 15.50 crores to 16.50 crores. The jump has come primarily in the multiplex chains - PVR, Inox, Cinepolis - side by side the chains like MovieMax and Miraj.

The two-day total of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani now stands at Rs. 27.50 crores and the movie will be targeting an opening weekend of Rs. 45 crores, which will be a fair result, though a lot for the film would depend on how it does on the weekdays. The costs for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani are on the higher side and hence, its crucial to record healthy trends over the weekdays.

The start for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was rather low, but thankfully, the word of mouth is on the positive side, which has come into the play on Saturday leading to the big jump. The eyes are now on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani to consolidate the Saturday jump with another one on Sunday as that would put the film in a fair position. There are corporate bookings that have happened, but such a jump has come as a result of positive audience talk and puts the film is a much better spot than what it was on Friday.

The three national chains have collected approximately Rs. 10 crores on Saturday, which is a jump of almost 45% from Friday. Another big day should be on cards as families are expected to come on board Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani on Sunday. The mass belts continue to be low for the film, but the Karan Johar brand is rising over all the drawbacks to get the audience on board through the weekend. If masses come on board on Sunday, RRKPK will prove to be a runaway success for the Hindi Film Industry as that would put the film in a strong position.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations.
