12th Fail Box Office: Film sees very good upturn on Saturday, is gaining momentum

When collections started getting better in the evening shows on Friday itself then the signs were there that there could be a bigger upturn evidenced on Saturday. After all, the critical acclaim was anyways there for 12th Fail and now it was all about how audience word of mouth also grows in such a manner that Saturday shows a much bigger number.

Well, this is what happened as from relative standpoint, the collections grew to more than double for the Vikrant Massey starrer. While Friday collections stood at Rs. 1.10 crores, Saturday was much bigger at Rs. 2.50 crores. One may wonder if these numbers in isolation are nothing great. Well, given the kind of budget that 12th Fail is having, these numbers are decent enough to result in a respectable lifetime. Moreover, it has a lot of time and space available for it to perform as there is hardly any competition around.

The Viudhu Vinod Chopra directed film now stands at Rs. 3.60 crores and while it's a given that Rs. 6 crores mark would be crossed by the close of first weekend, a number in the vicinity of Rs. 7 crores is possible as well. The film would be aiming at first week collections of over Rs. 12 crores and given the trending so far, that's very much possible too.

Gulshan Devaiah starts shooting Ulajh with Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew; says I am playing a complicated part

Gulshan Devaiah has started shooting for his upcoming film Ulajh. The movie has Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew as his co-stars. Since the movie is about Indian Foreign Services (IFS), the major portion of the shoot is expected to be done in various foreign locations. Sharing his reaction on the commencement of the film’s shoot, Gulshan said in a statement, “It’s been a good year for me so far and Ulajh has a great cast put together and I’m really looking forward to filming this film with them.
